This notice explains what happens to the details you give through this site or its phone line. In it, "we" means ContentWorks, which runs the site.
Who is responsible for your details?
Poole Bay Removals is run by ContentWorks, the trading name of Dan Jaques, a sole trader. ContentWorks runs this site and the phone line, and is responsible for the details you send through them. The address and contact email are in the "Who runs this site" box at the foot of this page.
The moves are carried out by the removals firm named on the site: Moving Professionals Ltd. Your details go to that firm so it can contact you about your quote. Once it has them, it is responsible for them too, under its own privacy notice.
What do we collect?
The quote form collects five things:
- the postcode you are moving from
- the postcode you are moving to
- the size of the move
- your phone number
- the page you sent the form from
The form handler also records the date and time of your enquiry and gives it a reference. To block spam, it briefly keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet (IP) address, deleted after about two hours.
When you ring 01202 144777, an automated assistant answers. It says it is automated, asks about your move and for your name and number, and saves your answers. The number you ring from and the time of the call are recorded automatically. Calls are recorded, and a written transcript is made of each one. We keep your number, the recording and the transcript.
Giving your details is up to you. Without a phone number, though, the removals firm cannot contact you about a quote.
The form asks nothing about your health. Please do not send health details through it.
This site uses no analytics or advertising cookies and runs no tracking scripts.
Why do we use your details, and on what legal basis?
- To pass your details to the removals firm so it can get in touch and quote for your move. We rely on this being a step you asked for before a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To keep a record of each enquiry and call, to check the phone line works, and to settle any question about an enquiry. We rely on our legitimate interest in running the site properly, weighed against your rights (Article 6(1)(f)).
The automated assistant sorts enquiries by the size of the move so the firm knows what each call is about. No decision about you is made by a computer alone: a person at the removals firm decides whether and how to quote.
ContentWorks does not use your details for marketing, and never sells them. This site does not send review requests. If that changes, it will only email people who have ticked a box asking for one, and this notice will say so first.
Who receives your details?
- The removals firm named above. Details from the form and from calls reach it by email. It may phone you about your quote.
- Companies that run parts of this service for us, on our instructions only: - LeadFlow, built on HighLevel (LeadConnector), which runs the phone line, the automated assistant, call recordings, transcripts and contact records. - Cloudflare, which hosts this site and receives the quote form. - Resend, which delivers the enquiry emails sent from the form. - Google Workspace, the email service where enquiries are received.
Do your details leave the UK?
Some of these companies are based in the USA or handle data there. We only use them where the transfer is protected by a UK-approved safeguard, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (the UK-US data bridge) or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses. To ask which applies to a company, or for a copy, email the address at the foot of this page.
Are calls recorded?
Yes. Calls to the number on this site are recorded, and the automated assistant says so at the start of the call. We keep recordings to have an accurate record of what you asked for, to check the service, and to settle any dispute about an enquiry.
How long do we keep it?
- The scrambled internet address used to block spam: deleted after about two hours.
- The copy of your form details held by the site's form handler: deleted after 30 days.
- Call recordings and transcripts: deleted after 90 days.
- The record of each enquiry (a reference, the date, where it came from and its status): kept for 12 months.
The removals firm keeps what it holds under its own notice.
What are your rights?
You can ask us to:
- show you the details we hold about you
- correct them
- delete them
- restrict how we use them
- give you a copy of them
- stop using them, if you object to how we use them
- stop contacting you

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes, the new version goes on this page with the month it was checked.
